Homeland Security Grant – We have helped many clients apply and
receive Homeland Security Grant money to assess vulnerabilities of and harden
critical infrastructure, install physical security enhancement equipment,
install terrorism incident prevention equipment and install access control &
warning, surveillance systems. We inventory their existing equipment and design
a system that will meet their need and quality for the Homeland Security Grant.
We fill out their application and take care of submitting the forms on their
behalf. We have made presentations to many of the Regional Coordinators to show
them the benefits of a SCADA based security system.
Holden Security & SCADA System – Homeland Security Project – Installed
tank hatch and chlorine building intrusion monitoring, this information is
relayed back to a central monitoring station that includes an autodialer to call
the operator if an alarm is triggered.
Meadow Security & SCADA System – Homeland Security Project –Installed
tank hatch, chlorine building and well house intrusion monitoring, this
information is relayed back to a central monitoring station that includes an
autodialer to call the operator if an alarm is triggered. This system also
controls their well, based on the tank level. Holden and Meadow are
using Campbell Scientific dataloggers, HMI software and autodialer to run
the controls and monitoring. In the future I would use other equipment. It's
good equipment but not built for controls. You can get equipment that really
doesn't meet your needed if you rely on just the sales person. You never
know how good something really is till you use it. That is one of the
reasons that an experienced systems designer is so important.
Oak City Security & SCADA System – Homeland Security Project –Installed
tank hatch, chlorine building and well house intrusion monitoring, this
information is relayed back to a central monitoring station that includes an
autodialer to call the operator if an alarm is triggered. This system also
controls their well based on tank level.
Oak City is using Automation Direct PLC’s, MDS TransNet 900 radios, iFIX HMI
software and Win911 autodialer software. Worth every extra penny spent.
Sometimes spending a little extra to get good equipment and good technical
support can make all the difference.
